The Duplex System from Mainline Optical Connections offers a solution for prescription wearers in sports, skiing and fashion eyewear
![]()
Good Vision
The Duplex System takes into account the inclination of the
frame and adjusts the prescription accordingly.
Comfortable fitting position
(if an interim frame is used, the glasses
invariably slip to the front, or your eye-lashes touch the lenses).
No condensation of the interim lens surfaces
(hermetic sealing)
No dirtying of the interim lens surfaces
(as above)
Minimum increase in weight
(practically only the lenses inserted)

THE DUPLEX RANGE
Image errors and correction of them in sports and protection glasses
3 effects occur in high curved frames:
- Oblique astigmatism
- Prismatic errors
- Perspective distortion
The first two fields can be rectified by recalculations (see procedures such as matrix calculations), but perspective distortion cannot be corrected.
We will use a compensating wedge if the corrections are too much causing Perspective distortion.
